Mellow Fellow: A Journey from Packaging to Premium Cannabinoid Products 

Lindsey Goldstein, Owner and Chief Marketing Officer at Mellow Fellow, has helped shape the brand from its entrepreneurial roots into a cannabinoid powerhouse. With a background that spans packaging, hardware, and cannabinoid innovation, Lindsey brings a rare blend of creative vision and operational expertise to the table. She shares how Mellow Fellow evolved into the brand it is today and where it’s headed next.

Q: Where and what year was your company founded? 

A: 2019, in Denver, Colorado 

Q: Where is your company currently located? 

A: Fort Lauderdale, FL 

Q: What was your original business plan, goal or vision for the company? 

A: Initially, we started with a packaging company called Cartology, specializing in child-resistant packaging and premium hardware for the cannabis industry. Around the same time, a few of the partners were working on another venture, Vere Labs, which manufactured cartridge-filling machines. Given the complementary nature of these businesses—one creating packaging and hardware, and the other producing machines to fill the hardware—we saw an opportunity to merge. 

During this process, we discovered Delta 8 and began producing oil primarily to fund the robotics side of the business. But the demand for oil quickly outpaced everything else. That’s when we launched Arvida Labs and began offering white-label products to other companies, leaning into our strengths in formulation, packaging, and hardware. 

Then we had a client whose e-commerce store rapidly gained traction. They received so many orders that our production couldn’t keep up, causing delays in their fulfillment. To streamline the process and reduce lead times, we took on their order fulfillment, effectively becoming their 3PL provider. That decision ended up being a huge turning point. It gave us the operational foundation and infrastructure that evolved into what Mellow Fellow is today. 

Q: How has your company changed over the years, i.e.: concept, product offerings, staff, square footage of facility, etc.? 

A: Mellow Fellow started with a bold, purpose-driven vibe, geared toward single cannabinoids. As we evolved, we shifted our focus toward experience-based blends, crafting products that are intentionally formulated to support how people want to feel, beyond a single cannabinoid effect. 

The first employees were all family and friends, which helped create a strong foundation of trust and collaboration. Even as we’ve grown, we’ve kept that same spirit. Many of the people we’ve brought on since have become like family and some of my closest friends. 

Operationally, the growth has been quite substantial. In our first year alone, we moved six times because we kept outgrowing our facilities. It was challenging, but it also confirmed that the demand and momentum were there. Today, we’re operating at a much larger scale, but we’ve never lost that sense of connection or commitment to innovation that got us here.

Q: Who is your current target market? Has this market changed or stayed the same? 

A: Our current target market includes smoke shops, distributors, retailers, and others interested in selling or distributing our products. As we’ve grown, we’ve continued to focus on these key B2B relationships, providing high-quality, effect-driven cannabinoid products that our partners can trust. What’s stayed the same is our commitment to quality, transparency, and creating products that truly work. 

Q: Describe your product line for the retailer/distributor. 

A: We provide high-quality cannabinoids, specializing in PhD pharmacist-formulated blends tailored to specific experiences. Our blends are carefully curated to elicit certain experiences, for instance our Dream blend encourages deep rest, while the Euphoria blend offers a blissfully elevated effect. From the Dream, Creativity, and Euphoria blends to classics like Delta 8, Delta 10, and HHC products, they’re available as premium disposable vapes, edibles, cartridges, prerolls and more. 

While keeping true to our Delta 8 roots, we continue producing innovative products like our new THCh Disposable Vapes, Terp Sauce Spinner Vapes, and THCp Burst Edibles. We’ve also expanded to offering curated CBD blends with our Mellow Fellow Wellness line, providing tinctures, gummies, vapes, and roll ons, for a mellow without the buzz. 

Q: How does your product distinguish itself in the marketplace? 

A: To begin with, we have an extensive line of high-quality and effective cannabinoid products that cater to various customer needs, all while maintaining competitive pricing. We also pride ourselves on excellent customer service so that our partners get whatever support they need. Another main strength of ours is accessibility. We make it easier for our partners to order and receive products, and we focus on providing consistent quality across every batch. 

Q: How can retailers/buyers purchase goods from you? Via the Internet, a printed catalog, phone, all of the above? 

A: Retailers and buyers can conveniently place orders via our website, give us a call directly, or reach out to their designated sales representative for personalized assistance. We’re committed to making the purchasing process as seamless and as accessible as possible.
